Technical Workshop

 

The technical workshop is located in Block D in the underground area. The workshop aids in bridging theory learned in the classroom to practice through the presence of advanced metal and wood machines. The workshop is equipped with high-tech machines and various hand tools to meet users' diverse expectations. It allows students to translate architectural designs or construction concepts into reality, whether through scale models or full-scale constructions. The design of the workshop strictly adheres to safety standards and regulations, ensuring the well-being of all occupants. Moreover, a dedicated technician is available on-site to assist students with their projects and offer guided instructions on the proper use of each machine.

The equipment available in this workshop support students’ procedural and technical knowledge in terms of providing hands-on experience and practical application. Some of these include:

  • Lathe Machine:
    • Describing the operation of a lathe machine
    • Knowing the cutting, turning, facing, grooving and threading operations of a lathe machine
  •  Wood Band Saw:
    • Describing the fundamental operation of a wood band saw
    • Knowing the steps for cutting different wood samples
  •  Metal Band Saw:
    • Describing the fundamental operation of a metal band saw
    • Knowing the steps for cutting different metal samples
  •  Hot Wire Foam Cutter:
    • Knowing the process of cutting polystyrene foam
  •  Welding Machine:
    • Explaining the different welding shapes of metals
