Advanced Computer Laboratory

The Advanced Computer Laboratory features twenty-two high-tech PCs including instructors’ PC. Each PC is equipped with a 24” full HD LCD monitor and headphones. It also houses a projector and a smart LCD for instructors to do presentations. It is located in Block B on the ground floor and utilized for petroleum-related topics such as Reservoir Simulation.

Using the Petrel software from Schlumberger, students can benefit from the platform in the exploration and production sector of the petroleum industry. The software allows students to interpret data, perform well correlation, build reservoir models, visualize reservoir simulation results, calculate volumes, produce maps, and design development strategies to maximize reservoir exploitation. Through this software, risk and uncertainty can be assessed throughout the life of the reservoir.
